Add My wishlist to customer accounts
Plan: every plan, including Free. Creating extra lists there needs Pro and up, sharing a list Starter and up.
Signed-in customers can see and manage their wishlist inside their customer account, on a page called My wishlist: their saved products with live prices and stock, add to cart, remove, and moving items between lists. What they can do there is described on My wishlist in customer accounts.
The page works with Shopify’s customer accounts (the version where customers sign in with a one-time code). It doesn’t appear in the older, legacy customer accounts.
Add the page
Section titled “Add the page”It takes two steps: add the page, then link to it from the account menu.
1. Add the page in the checkout and accounts editor
Section titled “1. Add the page in the checkout and accounts editor”- In Cove, open Home and click Open accounts editor on the setup guide’s third step. Or go to Settings › Checkout in your Shopify admin and click Customize to open the checkout and accounts editor.
- Open the Apps sidebar in the editor and add My wishlist from Cove Wishlist.
- Click Save.
Shopify only loads the page once it has been added here, even if a menu already links to it.
2. Link it from the account menu
Section titled “2. Link it from the account menu”- Click Edit menus on the same setup guide step, or open Menus in your Shopify admin (Content › Menus; Online Store › Navigation in older admins).
- Open your customer account menu and click Add menu item.
- Choose the My wishlist page from Cove Wishlist as the link, give it a name such as “My wishlist”, and save the menu.
How the setup step completes
Section titled “How the setup step completes”The setup guide’s step Add “My wishlist” to customer accounts completes itself when Shopify reports the page as added, or the first time a signed-in customer opens it. If neither has happened yet, click Mark as done on the step. See the setup guide.
Its look
Section titled “Its look”Colours and fonts on the page follow your customer accounts branding in Shopify (set in the checkout and accounts editor). Cove doesn’t set them.
In Cove you choose the layout and which details each item shows, in Design › Labels, under My wishlist in customer accounts:
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Layout | Grid shows items as cards; List shows one item per row. | Grid |
| Price | Shows the price. | On |
| Compare-at price | Shows the compare-at price next to the price. | On |
| Vendor | Shows the product’s vendor. | Off |
| Variant | Shows the saved variant’s options. | On |
| Add to cart button | Shows an Add to cart button on each item. | On |
Cove ships the page’s words in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch, and the page follows the customer’s language. The labels you edit in the Design Studio don’t apply to it.
